Mexico makes preliminary anti-dumping ruling on Aluminium discs

On March 27, 2020, the Ministry of Economy of Mexico issued an announcement in the official gazette, making a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on aluminum discs (Spanish: discos de aluminio) originating in China, and decided to continue the anti-dumping investigation and impose levies on the products involved 37.88% provisional anti-dumping duties. The TIGIE tariff number of the products involved is 76.169.10. The resolution takes effect from the day after it is issued.

Stakeholders should submit comments and evidence to the Office of the General Directorate of International Trade Practices (UPCI) of the Mexican Ministry of Economy within 20 working days from the date of the announcement of the resolution. The deadline is 14:00 on the due date.

8On August 9, 2019, the Ministry of Economy of Mexico issued an announcement in the official gazette, and at the request of the Mexican company Almexa Aluminio, S.A. de C.V., decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation into aluminum discs originating in China. The dumping investigation period is from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018, and the damage analysis period is from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2018.
